Blog Comments

I have a few quick comments about your blogs that I wanted to share since we are nearing the mid part of your blogging assignment.

Overall, the content of your blogs has been really great. I can tell you are taking this assignment seriously and really thinking about the material in a deep way. What I've also found interesting is that your comments to each other have also helped push each other's thinking, which is the purpose of doing this assignment. Keep going, keep challenging each other, and keep critiquing and analyzing - from what I've heard from a few of you, a lot of this material is new or something you had never thought of. I'm looking forward to seeing how you continue to explore the upcoming material, how it challenges what you currently do, have done, or might like to do in the future.

Lastly, be sure that you are addressing your peers and my comments back to you in your future postings. I know that some of you respond to the comments in the comments section, and that works for me. However, if you are not doing either, please be sure to either add something at the beginning or ending of your posting that continues the conversation from the week before. You don't have to address each question posed to you, especially the ones I write to you, as they are sometimes rhetorical and more to get you thinking about your practices. However, you should address some things your peers and I bring up.

Overall, though, keep up the great work! Next week I will be posting about Vivian Paley's book, so please be sure to finish that up this week, and I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on her observation, documentation and assessment process then!
