Finishing The Semester Strong

Now that we are in the final stretch of the semester, it is time to make sure that you finish the semester strong.

Just a few quick notes on loose ends that need to be tied up before we reach the end of the course:

• If you haven't already done so, please submit your draft of your final paper to both me and your peer partner. Even if it is not complete, both your peer partner and I need enough time to be able to give you feedback before the final due date.

• Also, I have checked the Gradebook and notice that several students have not yet sent in their papers to the No‘eau Writing Center. This is an easy way to earn 30 points for the semester (or a silly way to lose them), so if you haven't yet done so, please send your draft to them ASAP in order to earn those points. You need to send it to them in enough time to incorporate their feedback, so if you send it to them on the same day that the paper is due, the points will not count. Once you submit it, you will receive an email confirmation from them that you will forward to me.

• On that same point, if you check the Gradebook and notice that though you submitted your paper to the No‘eau Writing Center but I have not added the points, please send me an email and I will double check.

• Lastly, it is time to sign up for our phone conferences for your blogging assignment. I have added a sign up sheet to the Resources section on Laulima, but I have also added it here. The starting date will be next Monday, April 22nd, though I am not available on the 23rd and 24th due to some interisland travel for health related purposes. Once you select a date and time, please email or text me to confirm that I am available during the time that you selected. Also, please be sure to read the description on the sign-up sheet as well as the syllabus so that you are as prepared as possible for our conference.
