This week there are already two readings in the Resources folder. Please read those, but we will also
be doing some investigation of TS Gold and Pearson’s Work Sampling System. Like last week, follow
the instructions in this document, and then include your thoughts about what you read in your blog.
Be sure to include responses to the comments made by your peers and I from your last week’s blog
at the beginning of this week’s posting.

Please keep in mind the question about power and assessments when you read through these
documents, and try to think about the similarities and differences that might exist between Work
Sampling/TS Gold and the screeners we saw last week. Since we are also thinking about “readiness,”
try to reflect on what “readiness” means – who does it apply to? In other words, who is supposed to be
getting ready? How does power play into readiness? Who defined readiness, and what are we
comparing it against? Does readiness look the same across all cultures? If not, what kinds of
adaptations or new ways of thinking need to be considered?

- Feel free to watch any others that are of interest to you.
- Lastly, click on Pricing and Ordering. Calculate how much this program would cost at your current setting or a setting you have previously worked at.

- Click on “MyTeachingStrategies.” Read the brief paragraph and watch the short video.
